Aidalu sounds a bit like Ms. Monteith in my high school, although I doubt if she would trust anyone under the age of 40. Still, she taught English and seemed like a throwback to a different era. She was strict but intensely fair. Every student started her class in fear and left it in admiration. To this day, she and a old German guy who taught calculus (a subject I hated) were my favorite teachers.

Terry, being of similar age, your stories always transport me back to my childhood memories, most of which I usually like to stay in the hazy past, but you have a knack for bringing out the good ones that make me smile. I am always pleased when I see a submission from you. Please, keep them coming!

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
