Allisonn, Benny is adorable. I bet he has a ton of energy, too. We adopted our dog, Syau, when she was ten years old. Her owners had a backyard with a wooden privacy fence and a doggie door in their kitchen. Syau and her sister Sophie (whom we also adopted but passed away in 2020) only knew their medium-sized backyard; they were never taken on walks. In fact, they were never put on leashes until we adopted them. Once we started walking them, they discovered a whole new world. They both loved their walks so much. We often traveled two miles on our outings in the neighborhood. Even without her sister, Syau loves to walk, but now at the age of 15, one mile is her limit.
