Another one that we have in Florida - well, in the Panhandle area - but ours is the Downy Serviceberry. - Dennett

The Serviceberry is one of my favorite landscaping plants. The one shown is a Shadblow Serviceberry (Amelanchier canadensis ). It meets all of my criteria. It provides attractive flowers and delicate green foliage in the Spring, followed by edible fruit in mid-summer, food for the birds and lovely golden foliage colours in the fall.
