Banking regulations were passed to help prevent another economic collapse and now Trump has reversed those. I wish there had been more and stronger regulations, but I honestly believe that Obama did the most he could do with a hostile Republican Congress. Same with Obamacare. The program was a shell of what he wanted it to be but the only thing he could push through Congress. He had to fight for everything against people whose only desire was to see him fail.
Obama disappointed me in some aspects, particularly immigration and deportation, but, considering the mess he inherited, the extreme prejudice against him and his administration, and a hostile Congress, I believe he was an outstanding president. His accomplishments and failures need to be evaluated in light of all that was happening around him and all who worked tirelessly to see him fail. Just look at Trump and the Republicans now, their publicly admitted goal is to repeal everything Obama accomplished, and, sadly, they are accomplishing just that.
