Beautiful poem, Christine.

There are plenty of sycamores in my area. The first trees to change color, often as early as August. I call them the sad trees. While other trees and bushes is still vibrant green and flowers abound, the sycamore leaves are tawny, reminding us that we are on the downward slope to winter.
