Perfection was a lost cause before Covid - now. it is a dead and buried cause. "The best we can" is the new motto. Doing what we can, when we can, with what we have, for whoever we can.

Balance it all with time in nature - even the birds who all sing at once can ease a troubled mind.

Now, the dog, well, he/she may be more of a challenge. Poor little thing probably gets very littel attention. Offer to walk him. Good for the soul and the heart.
