Christine, I don't think you understand the timeline of this. I dropped Ben off at dialysis and found out about patients having Covid. I was driving home when I realized we were in close proximity with those patients. I wasn't going through a list of possible contacts. I simply remembered who we were near on Monday. Once I brought Ben home from dialysis that afternoon, I scheduled his test for early Saturday morning. After he tested positive, I scheduled my test. I was negative, but now I have swollen glands and will take another test this morning.

Wearing a mask protects others as well as yourself. If you are sick, a mask lessens your ability to spread infections through the air. With your breathing issues, wearing a mask may not be possible, but that doesn't mean others can't wear them. To me, it's outrageous that medical facilities can't mandate masks to protect EVERYONE. It makes no sense.

Thankfully, we received every vaccine, which may not prevent getting Covid, but does greatly lessen the possibility of it being serious and requiring hospitalization.
