Dana, I understand completely. I live in a university-centric town in the South. We, too, are a small blue island in a sea of red. What happened in Charlottesville could, and probably will, happen here tomorrow or the next day or the next. And, just like Charlottesville, it will not be caused by us, the locals, who live in and love this city. It will be, mostly, outsiders who want to turn our blue island blood-red. Charlottesville is merely the beginning of an inevitable social war. What happened there was not about Charlottesville, it was about America.
