Deborah, birding and wildlife are certainly not big topics on Medium, but there are people who write about both and others who read and appreciate pieces that feature nature and wildlife. I doubt if such pieces will go viral with tens of thousands of reads, but you can build up reliable fans of work like yours. Keep at it!
