Deborah, what a heartfelt story! The love you had for your aunt is in every word. I particularly liked your story because I love forsythias. They don't grow in my area of Florida - maybe, further north toward Georgia, but I'm not sure. But, I lived north of Atlanta for 5 years long ago and had a gorgeous forsythia in my front yard. What a delightful plant! We also had them where I was raised in Virginia. A neighbor taught me the trick your aunt taught you.
