We feed ducks and squirrels and crows in our backyard and I am always looking out for owls and hawks. Fortunately, the crows, when they are around, protect everyone from the predators. But, this morning the crows weren't around and a very large hawk swooped in and all the ducks and squirrels scattered in fear. A few days ago, a group of crows harassed the same hawk until he left the neighborhood.

Isn't it funny about the different cultural perceptions of the owl!
