Farah, this may very well be my favorite submission to Weeds & Wildflowers! Your story has it all — great photos, a fascinating flower as the subject, a little love and romance thrown in, some botany and history, and it’s very well written.
I hadn’t heard of snowdrops until this year. This is W&W’s third post about them and I want more, MORE! Each post I read about snowdrops gives me more information than the one before. Each post leaves me wishing snowdrops could be grown here in Florida, which would be very weird considering their name :)
Ah, what simple, joyful flowers they are and perfect for a wedding ♥ I smiled broadly reading how you spend your anniversary “shooting” these dear blossoms. I can’t think of anything more romantic than that.
I hope, before long, you will have your own garden full of snowdrops, and I can publish photo after photo of them!
