First, Divina, that photo of the cookies is divine. Food photography is not easy, and you perfectly captured the taste, smell, and texture of those cookies.
Baking is nostalgic for most people. So many emotions are wrapped around homemade cookies, decadent brownies, or an innocent birthday cake. Baking was something my grandchildren and I used to do together. When they moved far away, I couldn't bear to bake and even gave away most of my baking pans and utensils. I had to wade through the emotions and start baking again when my food allergies made it impossible for me to purchase pre-made baked goods.
Now, I bake without getting teary eyed, but I still experience the "waves" you mentioned.
You are right, baking with your kids (or grandkids) can have an impact on the world and the future.
