Many, many years ago, I lived in Maine. Those styles of homes and buildings are so familiar to me although it’s been a lifetime since I visited there. Most of my family who once lived in those parts are either deceased or moved to warmer climes. I had family north of Bangor in Burlington and West Enfield. I lived in Waterville for 1 1/2 years and then attended what is now the University of Southern Maine but was then called the University of Maine at Portland-Gorham. Last time I was in Maine, though, was 1989.
