Here we go again, Ann. Our similarities are spooky. No, I didn't retire. But, I did get a fitness watch. And, rarely reached the magic 10,000 steps a day. I loved walking my dog but our walks wouldn't get me to 10,000. She's an old lady, too. Walking by myself - yeah, not interested. Then, I got sick last year. Walking from one room to the next was a chore. Ben took over all the dog walks for more than a month. Then, I joined on the nighttime walk - the shortest of the day. Then, finally, on a daytime walk. Much shorter than before but still an accomplishment. The first time she and I walked one of our long walks I was shaky and exhausted and delighted. Now, I top 10,000 on a regular basis, sometimes up to 15,000. And, I walk by myself. Every step is a celebration. Nice to know you are on the same path!
