Hmm, I thought quite a while about the meaning behind this poem, MDSHall. I settled on it being about my previous and now-deceased husband, who was quite a talker. But, his words often hid who he really was. Eventually, all that talk changed who he was. That's when I left.

I know my interpretation may be completely different than your intention, but that's what I came up with. Thanks for giving me something to ponder.
