I agree and disagree, Carlos. We all have troubles and problems and heartbreak. Some more than others. But, here in the U.S. many of us, certainly not all, have felt relatively safe. That isn't true anymore. I can be dealing with personal problems galore but handling them is less stressful if I don't have to worry about constant states-of-emergency in my country. I am constantly steeling myself for the next horrible news.
I remember disagreeing with presidents, even strongly disliking some, but I never feared a president and his followers as I do now. It's completely different than anything I've experienced in my 66+ years.
With that said, you are correct that in times like these and in times of personal turmoil, we must find comfort in the love that surrounds us - family, friends, pets, nature, whatever gives us even a smidgen of peace. We have nothing else, do we?
