I agree, Jane, that there is nothing common about that brilliantly yellow butterfly!
When I was a teenager, dreaming the dreams of youth, I read books about different places in the world and thought that Cairns would a perfect location for me. Sigh. Never got there, though. Never even visited a foreign country, other than Canada, which isn't that foreign to Americans.
That Orange Footed Scrubfowl is a very unique bird . What a severe facial expression, but since you mentioned they are very timid, perhaps his scowl is fear.
