I almost skipped this piece, Tre, because I'm not interested in hair. All I want is easy. The less trouble, the better. However, I'm glad I read this. What a cultural experience! I can't imagine sitting so long for a hairdo. The five minutes it takes my stylist to trim my butchy cut is too much. I'm not ignorant of the effort and time many African American women spend on their hair, but this was a step-by-step journey. Thanks for the trip!
