I am sorry, Deborah, that January is a rough month for you. I think once we get beyond a certain age, we all have a particular month or two that are challenging and sometimes, depressing. Mine is April. Too many loved ones died in April.

But I'm glad you found a few words to go with your lovely photos. I particularly appreciate the female Cardinal - the males get way too much attention! And that last photo proves my recent statement that the smallest birds tend to have the biggest personalties!
