I didn't know about this storm, Jean, until I googled it after reading your poem. Good heavens! Here in the semi-tropics, we experience such storms but would not expect them in France!

You spoke the truth about trees in intense storms. During Hurricane Irma, it was the trees that concerned us the most - both for them and for us. And, it was downed trees and limbs that caused the most headaches.
