I do not walk for the scenery, Sherry, and I promise I would rather be snoozing until the sun is in full attendance! However, now that we have three dogs to walk, I can’t leave it all to my husband as I always have.
The two 10-year-old dogs walk at a much quicker pace than our almost 15-year-old Peke, and they want to walk much further than he can. He does good to make the equivalent of 3 city blocks while they can clock 1/2 mile or more at a steady pace.
It takes two of us or someone has to make two walks — one with the old guy and one with the girls. I can’t do that to my fella. So, these days I crawl out of bed and get to see the sunrise — yeah!
I also come home at noon and walk dogs and again at 5:00, after which I return to work, and then a final walk at 9:30. No wonder I am so damn tired all the time!!
