I do understand what you mean, Anne. It was also very upsetting that these women, who are my co-workers, never reached out to me when I was sick or hospitalized. They knew about it but not one email, text, or phone call. And, now to have them praising my weight loss, as though I was on a successful diet, was insulting and insensitive.
Yes, clothing is not manufactured for those with healthy, muscular bodies like yours, Anne. Everything is geared for the super-thin.
I remember my granddaughter, at the age of five when she still had a bit of a belly but was far, far from fat or even chubby, telling me that she was too fat and wanted to go on a diet! I was horrified. She was FIVE YEARS OLD. And, she was on the low end of the medical weight chart for her age. Her brother, who seven at the time and really was a little chubby, didn't worry about his weight at all. He enjoyed his life while she was already fretting over her weight.
