I don’t write of competition but of equality. Men legislate our bodies and control our abilities to make personal decisions. Men create the children that many don’t support, leaving women to struggle in poverty to raise the children created by two but supported by one.

As an older woman, male admiration doesn’t come at the same price it often does for the youth of our gender.

Enjoy the twinkles that come your way — you probably paid for them in one way or another. At least age allows us to love with fewer fears and responsibilities.

I appreciate that you took the time to read and respond.

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
