I feel a certain sense of confidence in my county. We’ve had a shelter-in-place order for 2weeks while the state of Florida only began its order at midnight this past Friday. My county’s order is stricter than the state’s, which is irrelevant now that the governor said local orders that are stronger than the state’s are not enforceable. He is a moronic Trump-supporter and that section of his statewide order is outrageous.

We also have a very strong medical community due to the university’s College of Medicine. Our two community hospitals are top-ranked. Fortunately, only 16 Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized here.

Maybe, it’s a false confidence but we appear to be better off than many areas.

Ben and I are taking precautions seriously and hoping for the best.

Erik, are you still driving? Is everyone in your family okay?
