I feel like that when traveling by train. My husband and I take Amtrak from Florida to New Jersey each year — a trip if approximately 22 hours. People think we are nuts when a flight would be 2 1/2 hours.

Besides my husband hating to fly and me hating airports and all the security insanity, I LOVE having 22 hours of freedom. Most see it as jail time, trapped on a moving prison. I see it as 22 hours of no one asking, demanding or expecting me to do anything — well, maybe my husband a little but not much. 22 hours to read and write and people-watch (believe me, you can do some serious people-watching on Amtrak). What is better than that??
