I firmly believe that religion is a deep evil that perpetuates bigotry in all forms, particularly against LGBTQ people. If you consider yourself to be a believer of some religion and don’t consider yourself to be a bigot, you’d better take a deep look at your religion’s beliefs, practices, and history. You may be condoning what you claim is not who you are or what you believe. Few faiths, if any, are truly inclusive.

Any person who voted for Trump and claims to have the purest beliefs of Christianity is a fool, mentally unstable, or is so immersed in bigotry he can’t see who he truly is. If you voted for Trump you are not a good person. I struggled to admit that about many people whom I once admired. But, when you strip away the layers of false respectability, the truth is uncovered.

The need of religious people, particularly evangelicals, to force their beliefs on others through political and legal systems will continue to make violence against “others” acceptable.

James, thank you for your dedication to exposing the truth.
