I know. I do miss shopping with the Captain :(
We have a Fresh Market grocery store here which is the easiest and fastest to get through, but they don’t carry many household products. If we just need food, I can run in and out quickly. But, of course, I still wear a mask and gloves. For shopping lists that have items other than food, I go to Publix, the largest grocery chain in Florida. Like all stores, they have to limit the number allowed in, but I don’t know the exact ratio. Because those stores are the busiest, they changed all their aisles to one way, which is good but confusing. Seems like I am always going the wrong way!
When I get home, Ben is not allowed to touch anything. I clean all containers, bottles, cans, wrappers, etc. with a bleach solution and remove all cartons/boxes that can be discarded. Then, I clean the counter space where I worked, take a shower, and wash my clothes. A grocery shopping trip that used to take 20 or 30 minutes from entering the car to putting away the items, now takes 90 minutes or more.
