I know I haven’t seen as much of you here, Guérin, but I wasn’t sure if that was due to my shortened reading time caused by my very long work hours or if you really were less present.

But, on plus side, congratulations on working toward your degree!

I suppose the changes were a mixed blessing for me, too. Realizing I can’t depend on Medium income at all, I am more focused on my business and making as much money as I can in the next year or two to pave my way to retirement. I once thought Medium would produce enough earnings to keep me from the poor house in retirement. Now, I know I need to work my ass off for a while longer, pay off my car, pay down my mortgage, buy new appliances, and then, retire or at least, cut back. Of course, that plan only works if I don’t drop dead at my desk!

Thanks for responding, Guérin. I was particularly interested in your Medium situation since you almost exclusively write poetry and have a huge following. Plus, it was pleasant to hear from you!
