I know many people who are fully vaccinated who still got sick. If you are generally healthy, it's a normal winter sickness, but if you are immune compromised, as Ben is, getting Covid or the flu can be a death sentence.

My daughter and her family were fully vaccinated when they traveled to Peru last summer. Nearly everyone in Peru wore masks, indoors and out. But, their plane from Florida to the Northeast was delayed on the tarmac for two hours. She and her family and two other passengers were the only people wearing masks, despite several others sneezing and coughing. My daughter, her husband, and three kids came down with Covid and were sick for more than a week.
