I love how close your cats are to one another! We adopted Tango first, figuring he’d be our only cat, but as he got heavier and lazier, we decided another cat was the answer. That’s when we adopted Sébastien. They are about 3 years apart in age.

Although they do play from time to time, mostly one chasing the other, and sometimes spend a few moments grooming one another, which usually ends in a spat, they don’t cuddle or sleep with one another. But, honestly, that is because they have such different personalities and interests.

Tango’s main interest, as mentioned before, is sleeping and maintaining control of our bed. He will, from time to time, venture into the house, or sit on the porch to watch ducks, birds, and squirrels, but he is definitely not an adventurer.

And, Sébastien is. He wants to go and look and check and find. We call him Patrol Kitty. He patrols the house and porch. His wanderings have slowed down now that he is about 3 years old, but he still has to keep an eye on everything.

Sébastien also prefers sleeping alone. He definitely doesn’t like spending much time in or on the bed. I believe he gets too hot, while Tango likes to be as warm and cozy as possible. Sébastien chooses to sleep on one of the dog beds — either in our room or in the living room — or maybe on a dining room chair.

While Tango spends the majority of most days in our bed, Sébastien, in warm weather, lounges on the porch.
