I love the photo looking up the path to the cabin - that is a wow picture. And, how fortunate you came across a bear who was in a tree and not challenging you on the ground!

I know what you mean about wild animals being euthanized due to human stupidity. Happens in Florida with gators all the time. A pond can have a dozen signs warning of gators, there can even be a fence around the pond, but if a stupid human ignores all those warnings, gets in the pond and is attacked by a gator, the gator will be killed. Outrageous.
