I never imagined you doing Zumba, Jack. I am impressed! And, you dance to Latin music - I am doubly impressed!

Tell Deb that I can get down to James Brown, too. In fact, I was a huge Motown. I can probably sing along to every Motown song recorded in the 60s and early 70s.

Ben does crossword puzzles, which I hate, and he relies on me for all the American music answers, especially those pertaining to to 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. I'm pretty useless for anything after those decades. The 50s were before my time, mostly, as I was only 5 when they ended. But, I had two older sisters - one 10 years older, one 7. Their friends gathered at our house after school and played records. The first song I could ever sing from start to finish (other than kiddie songs) was Elvis' Rock-a-Hula Baby but that was 1961.

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
