I read the entire thread, Kay, and your responses were truthful and clear. I’ve had similar conversations with the same person about different topics that lead to a have a nice day/week/weekend followed by a fast retreat. A common passive-aggressive reaction to anything uncomfortable, to any discussion that might actually make one think outside of the cultural box called home, to any suggestion that might, if given consideration, change how we view, talk to, and listen to people different than us.

People need to be told to shut your mouth, open your mind, and LISTEN.
