I remember a previous story you wrote about Rex and the lovely pin his owner gifted you. It's my favorite story of yours, Louise.

I can't tell you how often children get bitten by a dog for messing with the dog's food or food dish. It's so important that a child be taught to never, ever approach an eating dog, including a dog with a bone or even a toy that he carries in his mouth like a bone. I've had dogs all my life - many, many dogs - and as much as I love them, I know we have to take precautions, especially when children are present.
