I so agree, Sandra - winter brings a nakedness that exposes the dirty and unseemly. During summer, we are wrapped in a blanket of green that softens and hides the ugliness of humanity. I miss it so much in the winter.
The squirrels continue to be adorably entertaining and how fortunate you were to spot those deer at the perfect moment. We had a doe and fawn appear on our lakeside in the early summer but that was the first and last time. I keep hoping for more visiting deer . . .
