I teared up several times reading this, Sherry. I am so ashamed of our country and who we’ve become as a society. It makes no sense that children needing homes are prevented from going to a home with a loving same-sex couple, or, at least, the process is made idiotically cumbersome and lengthy.

And, don’t get me started on the chipping away of rights — same-sex, female, and immigrant rights!

All decent people watch the news and worry.
