I think Ospreys are not appreciated as much as they should be, Deborah. They are powerful, magnificent birds. And I believe they have the fiercest scowl of all the raptors. They also have an amazing catch success rate of 70 percent.

Sometimes, an Osprey or two will visit my neighborhood, scoping our small ponds and lakes, but I always see them at Paynes Prairie, Sweetwater Wetlands, and La Chua Trail.
