I think you are doing an excellent job of bird-watching, Vaishali! Being in a metro area makes it more challenging but not impossible, and you have natural areas all around you.

Alan already gave a suggestion I would make about Cornell. I also have two bird apps: PictureBird and BirdNET (from Cornell). I take a photo of an unknown bird with my phone, put it in PictureBird, and get an answer. BirdNET is for IDing birds by sound. The other day, sitting on my porch in the morning, there were several bird songs but one that I didn't know. I was afraid my app couldn't give me an ID because there were so many birds chattering. I was wrong. BirdNET managed to ID 5 different birds in one recording! Believe me, I know almost thing about birds, or plants for that matter, but I make good use of technology!
