I thoroughly enjoyed your piece, Diamond. Interesting material. I wasn’t aware of Gordon Parks by name but recognized some of his work in your article. Definitely will search for more. Thank you for the introduction as well as your comments about preserving African American history through personal photos and stories. Officially sanctioned history, as taught in schools, is always lopsided and bias; personal stories, photos and artifacts bring truth to the table.
