If I've learned one thing from aging, it's that time smooths over the hurts. Perhaps, it doesn't heal completely. Maybe, the hurts have lasting scabs but they are no long raw and bloody.

We worry so much about losing time as we age, thinking about the decreasing amount ahead of us. But, to me, time is like a gentle rub of fine sandpaper over everything that wasn't right or good or complete. It may not rub out all the bumps, but it sure makes them smaller.
