I’m not adapting well, unfortunately. It’s especially hard since the children spent seven years living with me and one year spending each weekend with me and are now reaching puberty and changing so quickly. I hardly know my grandson, the eldest, anymore. In one year, he became a different person. I feel so disconnected when for so long they were part of my every decision, plan, and consideration. They truly were the fun and joy that kept me going.
