Isn’t that how it seems? That we imprison ourselves? Patsy, that is how I felt before. Yet, the prison is so real, the walls so steep, the confinement so breathless.
I hesitate to say the prison is self-created because its stone and wire are not the product of imagination. Who would imagine such a thing and confine oneself to it?
The prison is constructed of our experiences, our fears, our nightmares. These are REAL. What isn’t real is our belief that we cannot escape the prison. We can and we must. Escape is possible. Believing otherwise is the real prison.
