Isn't there something amazingly nostalgic about rain, Somsubhra? Even without grandfather memories, I believe we all fall into a sentimental stupor when the rains come.

And, innocence - rain recalls the purity of childhood when running in the rain was an activity of pure delight, rather than one of desired escape.

We lose so much when years lose their grip on youthful exuberance.
