As a lover of water, I think your river photo is so enchanting, Christine. And thank you for all the history you provided. I especially liked the bits about the thatched cottages. I had to Google wattle and daub! Although I've given up on the idea of traveling overseas in my lifetime, I know that if I could, the British countryside would be at the top of my list, and I would seek out wattle and daub houses now that I know about them!
