I’ve had the same discussion about the origin of the X with other attack-on-Christmas worriers. Not one, absolutely none, accept the true history behind the X. For some inexplicable reason, they prefer the attack-on-Christmas argument. Why? Who knows? Perhaps because of the “I am offended” mentality Americans seem to have. Never heard a Christian in any other country make an issue of Merry Xmas. Seems to be solely American in origin. Again, media has persisted on exploiting and exploding the ridiculous idea that there is an attack on Christmas. Christmas is what it is to each person — perhaps religious, perhaps not. There is no attack — never was.
