Lorraine Heth, sometimes the magnitude of our current situation is so overwhelming that our only hope is to narrow our vision to what is before us. Sometimes even our local communities are too much to take on. Your actions are small but admirable and certainly better than hiding in inactivity.

I often feel the most long-lasting effect I can have is through my grandchildren. It’s doubtful I will live long enough to see our country regain all it’s losing now (if that ever happens) but I can prepare those two children to continue the fight for justice and equality. Fortunately, they have the spirit and interest in making the world a better place. I only hope they don’t get beaten down by the constant barrage of negativity and hate and give up before they have a chance to make a difference.
