Lucy, I was spoiled by a new yoga teacher in town back in the 90s. I met her at a business women's luncheon. She was eager to start putting classes together. She asked when I could take a weekly class and what I wanted to accomplish. Then, she created a class around me and invited others. The class was gentle yoga with lots of stretches and mindfulness. Nothing too demanding.

I followed her from one local location to another and I introduced Ben to yoga through her classes. She knew me well enough to tailor new poses to my limitations and soon did the same for Ben.

When my daughter and grandchildren were living with us, co-parenting and having 20 clients ate up all my time and we stopped attending her classes. Now that we have the time, there's a pandemic and she holds classes in a studio with a very hard, cold terrazzo floor that isn't kind to my old bones. We haven't attended her classes in several years.

I've tried some online yoga classes but they aren't tailored to me. She spoiled me.
