Maine is only noticed for gruesome murders and its outrageous governor. I used to admire how liberal those frugal Yankees were, but now it seems the state leans to the far right. I have no true connections there anymore — nearly everyone is dead or has moved (My stepmother was a Maineiac and I lived with her for a couple of years.)— so your photos and coverage were special links to my long ago and short-lived stomping grounds.
