Marco and Laura decided to skip Florida! I think the western Panhandle of Florida received a lot of rain from Marco and Laura went over The Keys, but she's out in the Gulf with her eye (literally!) on Louisiana and Texas, and Marco isn't even on the radar anymore.
I feel so sorry for everyone along the Gulf coast. One storm on the heels of another. We had a somewhat similar situation in 2004 when 3 hurricanes came to our area in a one month period. All were small storms but still caused many problems. I lived in the country then and we went 3 days without power.
I wonder if our luck will hold until the end of this active hurricane season. Storms seem to threaten much more often than they used to. In 2017, we had Hurricane Irma come up the state. One of the bigger, stronger hurricanes to reach us this far north and inland. Lots of rain and wind but we fared well. No power for 36 hours and lots of tree debris all our neighborhood but no real damage.
Keeping you in my thoughts as the first continue to rage. Stay safe.
